Thrive Through the Five

I absolutely love what I do as a school leader, but there is a small percentage of my work (and life) that is just really hard! And I don’t think I’m alone. This session will dig into some internal strategies to help us be our best, as well as some external strategies to help us lead in the best way during difficult seasons. We owe it to ourselves and everyone around us to not just survive challenging times, but to truly thrive!

About Jill Siler

Dr. Jill Siler has been superintendent of Gunter ISD since 2012 and in education for nearly 25 years. She began her career as a teacher and swim coach in Pflugerville ISD before launching her leadership journey in Marble Falls ISD, where she served as a campus administrator. She then served Lake Travis ISD at the campus and central office levels for eight years before stepping into the superintendency.

Jill has a passion for helping others reach their goals and has been a frequent speaker at TASA’s First-Time Superintendents Academy, Texas Council of Women School Executives events, and other leadership conferences. She is the chair of TASA’s Future-Ready Superintendent Leadership Network Design Team, which brings innovative leaders from across the state together to learn, share, and grow together. She also serves as the lead facilitator for TASA’s Aspiring Superintendents Academy.

Jill’s first book, Thrive Through the Five, was released in September 2020 and focuses on how to thrive through the most challenging seasons.
